Embracing Individuality Through Performance
Class Act is a community theatre company, established in 2014 by Chepstow Director Louise Best.
Our Mission is to provide everyone in Chepstow and the surrounding area the opportunity to take part in and learn about the Creative Arts.
We endeavour to give people the experience of taking part in live performance, working as a team, learning new skills and making friends.
We invite anyone with an interest in the creative arts to take part without the need for previous experience or an audition process.

Our Adult Performance Group producing full-scale shows - including our NODA President’s Award-Winning production of A Midsummer Nights Dream (2025). Whether you are an experienced performer or completely new, you’ll find a welcoming creative community here.
£20/Month @ Wyedean School, Chepstow
Class Act Theatre Company (Adults 18+)
Acting Classes for Young People and Actors, teaching a variety of skills and working towards LAMDA accredited exams (exams optional). Taught by our highly experienced LAMDA tutors, you are sure to learn plenty about yourself and about acting.

“I might be an older group member… hang on, make that THE oldest member of Class Act, but I am actually still fairly new. I took early retirement two years ago and was keen to get back into performing for enjoyment and sheer escapism. Drama gives me an opportunity to challenge myself; overcoming backstage nerves, learning and remembering my lines (and the odd bit of choreography)! It’s great fun and I am astounded at the way a play comes together to give it ‘life’ in the final week of rehearsals. A director with vision and a talented bunch of actors is all that is required!”

I joined Class Act in 2024 with no prior acting experience other than a school production of Les Mis where I played 'Sailor Number 4'. I joined with the hope of building my confidence on stage; I've got so much more than that! I've made amazing friends and Louise has helped me develop my acting skills in so many ways; I can't thank her enough! It has been a joy, rehearsing and performing. I have just finished a performance as the lead role in Present Laughter (never in a million years did I think I could deliver a lead performance on stage). Class Act is a fantastic group of people who are so supportive and encouraging of each other, I couldn't recommend it more!
